Sunday, July 18 Featuring Italo Cunha

Italo Cunha, an 18-year-old jazz guitarist, composer, and arranger, was born and raised in Brasilia, Brazil.

Sunday, July 25 Carmen Spada

Jazz pianist and vocalist Carmen Spada is very active in Boston and in his native Canada, where he performs as a soloist, with his trio, and with the Carmen Spada Sextet. In honor of his Italian roots, Spada also performs on the accordion.

August 1, Yuki Shibata Quartet

Yuki Shibata is a jazz pianist and composer from Japan. She began to dance classical ballet at the age of 13, through which she became interested in classical and contemporary music and show tunes.

August 8, Christian Li Trio

Christian Li is a jazz pianist from Horseheads, New York who has won several Down Beat magazine Student Music Awards and played solo piano at the Montreux Jazz Festival.

August 15, Folk Arts Quartet

The Folk Arts Quartet combines bluegrass, folk, and Celtic styles from the fiddle world with the heritage of the classical string quartet, resulting in a new hybrid genre, "ChamberGrass."

Directions

Take the park ferry to this program.

During the summer season, park ferries depart frequently from Long Wharf, Boston to Spectacle Island. We suggest arriving at the dock at least 30 minutes prior to departure to allow time for ticketing and boarding.

An interisland ferry connecting Georges and Spectacle Islands operates on Fridays-Sundays. Georges Island is accessible from four mainland piers.
